The Project: Triangle Sidings Ladbroke Grove Lillie Bridge Depot OS5

As part of the London Underground project to enable the instruction of the ‘S Stock’ trains SIMS successfully completed installation and testing & commissioning activities and Triangle Sidings on the District Line.
These works include three new sets of points, three new fibre optic shunt signals, extensive internal circuit modifications and locking alterations, SIMS installation and testing personnel put their wealth of experience to good use delivering the works on programme and within planned closures to the operation railway.
Additionally, SIMS also undertook testing & commissioning activates for the following ‘S-Stock’ enabling projects:
Transfer of signalling function to 3 new kiosks to allow the demolition of the existing relay room. Including Signalling AC Main diversion works.
Modifications to sidings to suit the new rolling stock.
Repositioning of lineside signals & signage and associated equipment to provide optimum sightings for the new rolling stock.
As, for the most part, these projects were running concurrently, the SIMS project team were instrumental in helping deliver the final commissioned product through effective planning, communication and co-ordination with other projects and disciplines.
